In an age of superheroes it’s easy to think that to be one you have to have super-human powers. We often think the same about every day heroes, like those who rush into burning buildings, step into the line of fire, and otherwise put themselves in harms way for the benefit of others. We think they have something we don’t. Maybe. Maybe not?
How can we be an unlikely, everyday or ordinary hero? Is there something we can do to prepare ourselves?
While superhero movies are entertaining escapism, there aren't any real super men and women flying around with extraordinary powers, nor teams of them jumping from nation to nation, planet to planet, nor from one reality to another.
On most Sundays of July and August, we’ll journey through the book of Judges, discovering very real heroes. Heroes that are frail, broken, unexpected and unlikely, yet also chosen, anointed, full of grace and strength…all because of God’s presence in them.
YOU can build a life ready to be a hero, too. Join us for this series from Judges with material from Tim Keller, Ken Shigematsu and more: How to build a life of extra-ordinary faith.
YOU are invited to join us this Sunday and all! We look forward to meeting and fellowshipping with you.
Join us at 10:00 am for coffee and tea and a home made bite to enjoy with fellowship before service downstairs.
Worship starts upstairs at 10:30 am. Come as you are!
We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday. You are invited!
