The epistle to the Colossians is a beautiful, hope-filled letter that lifts our eyes, exalts Jesus, instills hope, sets us free and transforms our relationships with others. Through this sermon series, our prayer for you is as Paul prayed for the believers in Colossae, "asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding," and that you are "strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy."
Join us each Sunday as we work our way through this dynamic letter that remains relevant to our lives today. Just like the first readers, we will re-center upon and lift up Jesus as He was, is and will always be, finding in Him the hope that is sure. Hope is always placed in a person or thing; whereas hope placed in things or other poeople will ultimately fail, hope placed in Jesus - who never fails - is uplifting, liberating, and transformative. Thus we find and characterize the theme of Colossians as the hope that sets free and transforms!
We invite you, your family and your friends on Sunday at 10:30 am.
Actually, come early at 10:00 and join us for coffee, tea and some sweet bite before service, too.
We look forward to worshipping together with you this Sunday.
